Well
I just went out and purchased my first Ruger the P89DC.
My question is, never owning a decock before when you engage the decock is the hammer supposed to be let to go forward itself or do I use my thumb to help it back in..
And is there a pin block in there to prevent it from accidently firing in condition one.
Thanks for your help
Tony

(1) The hammer falls by itself, safely, when you use the decock lever.

(2) There is no condition 1 for that pistol, as there's no safety. Never carry it with the hammer cocked.

I know there is no safety but how about confidence in carrying one round in the chamber but not with the hammer back

Yes, that's fine (but it's not condition 1).

Thank you guys for clarifying, what condition would that be considered Condition 2?
