Y'all,
I have a Springfield M1A Scout and I need advice on what optics to put on it. General rifle, maybe some deer hunting, not first choice for SD. I already own three sets of sights/optics and can't decide on which one to use:
1) Springfield Gen II scope using a SA scope mount. This came with the rifle deal I made and, while huge, it does look cool. This is mounted over the reciever.
2) Leupold 2X scout scope (German reticle) using ARMS QD mounts; or
3) Leupold Gilmore red dot scope with integral ring mounts.
The way I see it, all three have their advantages. I'm leaning towards the latter two.
