The Georgia Court of Appeals has just held that the City of Atlanta
lawsuit against gun manufacturers is preempted by state law. Sturm, Ruger &
Co v. City of Atlanta, 2002 WL 215619 (Ga. App. Feb. 13). The court
rejected the city's claim that state law preempted only local *legislation*,
and left local *litigation* untouched.
