Rem870P Takedown?

Found this on http://members.fortunecity.com/oldvalkyry/870.html. Would it be the proper way to takedown a Rem870P? Does one generally need a wrench to remove the barrel?

BRET

TAKEDOWN OF THE 870 PUMP ACTION
WINGMASTER OR MAGNUM EXPRESS.
1ST MAKE SURE SHOTGUN IS UNLOADED NO ROUNDS IN MAGAZINE!
2ND COCK THE ACTION TO MAKE HAMMER IN FIRING POSITION SO THE TRIGGER GROUP WILL COME OUT WHEN NEEDED OK.
3RD NOW SLIDE THE PUMP BACK HALFWAY AND LEAVE IT THEYRE.
4TH UNSCREW THE BARREL NUTCAP ON THE MAGAZINE AND SLIDE THE BARREL STRAIGHT OUT DO NOT REPEAT DO NOT SLIDE THE PUMP HANDLE ALL THE WAY FORWARD!OR THE BOLT WILL RIDE INFRONT OF THE EJECTER AND YOU MAY BREAK IT!!!!!!!
5TH NOW TAKING A SMOOTH FACED DRIFT PUNCH PUSH THE TRIGGER GROUP PINS OUT AND LIFT OUT THE TRIGGER GROUP CAREFULLY SETTING IT ASIDE.
6TH WE NOW CAN REMOVE THE SLIDE AND HANDLE OFF BY PUSHING IN THE TWO MAGAZINE SHELL CATCH SPRING BARS IN THE RECIEVER ONE AT A TIME GENTLY PUSHING FORWARD ON THE PUMP HANDLE
7TH NOW WE CAN SLIDE THE BOLT AND PUMP HANDLE RIGHT OFF THE MAGAZINE TUBE *NOTE THAT THE BOLT SITS ON TOP OF THE PUMP RAIL IN ITS NOTCHES,THIS HAS TO GO BACK ON THE SAME WAY.
8TH NOW WE CAN CLEAN THE ACTION,SMOOTH AND STRAIGHTEN THE PUMP RAILS AND MAKE ANY MODS WE NEED NECCESARY OR REPAIR IF NEEDED.,GO TO THE IMPROVS PAGE FROM HERE IF CHOOSING TO MAKE THE MODS FOR A SMOOTHER FEELING PUMP OR CLEANING UP A ROUGH EXPRESS MAG BLACK MATTE FINISHED RECEIVER,REASSEMBLY IS IN THE SAME ORDER AS THE TAKEDOWN !REMEMBER TAKE NOTES!!!! ALSO THE MAG CATCHES AND EJECTOR ARE STAKED IN TOO AND NOT TO BE REMOVED, IF LOOSE JUST RSTAKE THEM IN CARFULLY OR A NEW RIVET FOR THE EJECTOR INSTALLED IF IT DOESNT TAKE A TIGHTEN WITH A FEW TAPS OF A PUNCH AND HAMMER.

I see no probs doing it this way, tho I take the bolt and action bar assembly out before the trigger group. Some of my 870s have been apart a lot, no probs doing it my way.
