Details of Ruger Rebate

I called Ruger today about their rebate. Each customer is limited to rebates on four firearms from now to the end of the offer December 31. Ruger will be a stickler about the paper work so I suggest that you get an offcial statement of the requirements, make copies of relevant documents, and make sure you send all required items to Ruger. Ruger says you should allow 6-8 weeks for handling of the rebates.

I think a problem with rebates is returns. People can buy an item, request the rebate, and then return the item for a full refund and keep the rebate as profit. I don't suppose gun dealers would be likely to give a cash refund on a gun purchase. They might have the gun repaired or replaced, but wouldn't refund the purchase price, unless there were unusual, compelling circumstances.

I am working right now with a dealer who has excellent prices on Rugers and who has the rebate forms in hand. I am looking to purchase a KP-95 and a KP-97.

Good shopping!

We already have a thread going on the rebate: http://www.thefiringline.com/forums/...threadid=79254

You may, of course, post the details there. I'll close this one.
