What's the best price out there for surplus IMR 4896. I'm looking to get 4 x8 lbs jugs.

I would expect to pay $64 each. Haz Mat charge is often waived for 4 kegs.

Fred, Hi-Tech are good folks to deal with. I got 8 pounds of 4895 from them some time back and it was $64 for the powder plus hazmat plus shipping. It still came to just a few cents over $10 a pound compared to over $20 a pound for new cannister grade from IMR.
The powder is fine, all the loads I have used it in perform just as well as cannister powder. |
