Barrel mount on Marlin .22?
I have a marlin papoose that I'd like to mount a scope on. I tried to but it on the reciever, but it wouldn't maintain a zero after taking the barrel off. I figured that since the iron sights on the barrel remain the same, a IER or red dot scope mounted on the barrel would too. The barrel on my other marlins is driled and tapped for the front sight, so I think it is possible. Has anyone out there done this? Did it work? Was it worth it? Thanks.
