Rookie Re-Loader needs answers!

I'm fairly new to HandGunning & Reloading... For 45 acp, I have been using Accurate #2 @ 5.5Grn - with 200Grn LSWC. I find this to be a fairly dirty powder. I am going to try Clays, as I was told it's much cleaner. I shoot IDPA, and have not had my loads Crono'd. The Accurate book states 5.3 for the LOW side & 5.8 for the HIGH side. Any / All thoughts on this?

Thanks....

Mr

I will assume you mean "CLAYS - Clays"

(as opposed to Clays Universal-
I personally always found the naming of Hodgdon's powders confusion)

I use 4.1 of Clays Clays under a 200 LSWC in a "stock Kimber full size 45

Have gone up to 4.4 with Clays.

I perfer the liter loads which handle easily and function the Kimber flawlessly.

Clays IS quite clean.

I have never chrono'ed them.
