1911 recoil spring

Fast question. What weight recoil spring is needed for a 1911 clone in 38 Super. My loads are medium (about 1100 fps) with a 124 grain fmj bullet.

Joe, depending on the model I'd recommend the standard spring. If you find your empties eject farther than 6 feet from you go to a heavier spring. Gov't -- 16#; Cmmdr -- 18#. George
