HEY GEORGE. MY MODEL 70 SUPER GRADE IN .300 H&H MAG. SOMETIMES LOCKS UP AFTER FIRING AND I CAN´T MOVE THE BOLT IN ANY WAY BUT AFTER A FEW MINUTES. CASE SEEMS FINE. I´VE NOTICED IN OTHER RIFLES THAT THERE´S ALWAYS SOME TRAVEL IN THE BOLT WHEN IN THE LOCK POSITION AND THIS ONE DOESN´T. IS THERE A WAY TO MEASURE HEADSPACE WITHOUT TAKING THE BARREL APART? |

Pepemarine, all you need are the headspace gages. Disassemble the bolt, remove the extractor, and insert the go gage. There should be a very slight "feel" when you close the bolt. The bolt should not close on a no go gage. You may find that the rifle is ok and the load is just a little too hot. George
