Does anyone have some good load data for this round. I really want to put one of these together. Have the gun, Ruger#1B....

Would like some loads for light (70-85) gr bullets. I am not changing stock barrel.... yet.

Powder, velocity and bullets

Thanks in advance.

Bruce,
I started with a top load in 6MM Remington from a manual, and increased in 0.5 grain increments, using RL-22 and 87 grain VMax. Email me for data, I'd druther not post semi-wildcat loads...
I'm using a 1:10 Pac-Nor and moly coated bullets, too.

I made up such a rifle on the Ruger 1B also with a bull barrel and single set trigger. Have fire formed some cases but have not gotten to the point of developing loads but I do think Swifter has the right approach. I will have to get with him see what he has developed.

6MM ACKLEY IMP.

There is excellent data in the ACKLEY handbooks. If you're gonna load for the ACKLEY cartridges you need his books.

Terry: run a search engine using the title "6mm ackley improved" Then go to Mike J's site. This is an excellent forum for those who shoot & reload this caliber. I have info there along with others who shoot this caliber.
