Bobcat? Those horizontal stripes on the inside of the
left front leg look like cat.

Re: Can you ID this animal?

I thought it was a bobcat at first. But its head looks different than any bobcat I've seen.

I'm thinkin' Bobcat. The spotting on the front of the hind legs and the absence of a long tail kinda clinch it. The head is blurred in the picture and the shape is confusing because of the dark leaf litter behind it .

That's true. It probably is a bobcat. Was kind of curious to see what yall thought about it though. Ya never know though, I live near a nuclear plant

I don't think I've ever seen a coyote with stripes on it before though. I guess it could be possible...

Bobcat, the head looks funny because its blurred I think from moving at just the wrong time.

Nowhere enough neck for a deer.

Looks more like a bobcat than anything else. Tail, hind legs, inside of left front leg. There's too much blur to be definitive about the head.

Coyote with mange which is increasing or a mongrel dog.

Not a bobcat, this critter has a tail.

Not a mountain lion, look at the rear legs, dog like not cat like.

Me thinks bobcat as well.

Take a look at the stripes on the rear of the front legs on this pic...

The body shape and snout look like a North American Tapir, but markings look a little different.

If you look closely you can clearly see the white patches on the backs of the ears.

buck460XVR nailed it. A second and magnified look. I believe its a skinny ol' bob cat now too. I do believe I see a short tail and its muzzle a little more clearly when magnified. Debris on the ground sure does blend in though.
