Thinning the herd

All,
I need to get rid of a few guns and I'm keeping one for each niche. I have three single stack 9's and I need to sell two.

Of these three, which would you keep:
A) XDs9 (Currently at Springfield for recall)
B) Shield 9 (Not affected by recall)
C) LC9

Thanks for your opinion.

None. Put them back in the safe, and hope they continue to breed!

But if I were unwillingly compelled by some paranormal force to get rid of one It would be the Shield

Of the three, I would say keep the XDs 9. I have the .45 version, and absolutely love it. It has been great so far. Mine is currently at Springfield for the recall as well.

Sell 1 & 3. Love the wife's Shield, great little pistol. Plus it'll go great with your other two M&Ps.

Definitely get rid of the LC9. With one of the worst triggers of any gun currently on the market, it doesn't even belong in the same class as those other two as far as I'm concerned.

Between the Shield and the XDs, that's a harder call. I'd probably take them both to the range one last time and make my decision there.

if it were me I would try to keep all three but if I had to sell I would sell the two that could get the most money. I have a LC9 and it fits into my carry style so well that I would never sell it but my son sold his and purchased a small revolver so it is really up to what you like.

All three are quality pistols, so really the question is which fits you best. Which feels right in your hand, which one do you feel more comfortable with? Make the call based on which one will fit your needs best.

+1 for selling or trading the LC9. Not a fan of small EDC guns and will only have them as a backup gun or beach/picnic gun. But of those I'd sell the LC9 first. Once you buy a gun i'd only sell to trade for another gun or if it turned out to be a pos gun like LC9 or didnt enjoy shooting it on a regular basics.

I'd keep the XDs. Excellent firearms.

I've shot the LC9 and did not care about it at all. Long trigger pull and I don't like mag disconnects (although its removable). I've shot the Shield and its a nice little carry piece for a single stack, and M&P's are just good guns overall. never shot the XDs but my experience with standard XD's are all positive as well.

Choose which one you like better between the Shield and XDs, then decide from there. I'd also consider the cost of accesories in case you need to buy mags, sights, etc (pick which one has cheaper).

I'd get rid of all 3 and get a Walther PPS even though there are a few problems with AJxxxx serial 9mm's.

I'd keep the shield, it's first on my must have CC list. Love the feel of the entire M&P line, I find the safety in the perfect place for use it or don't. Finally the trigger is great IMHO.

I'd keep the shield. I owned a PPS for several years. I prefer the shield. I was really interested in the XDS... until I held and shot it... I prefer the shield.

Thanks everyone. I was leaning to the Shield from the start and I believe that's the one I'll end up keeping. I appreciate the feedback.

Oh, I agree. I don't want to do it but I've got a little more invested in them than I'd like and I could use the $ about now for other things. I'm keeping a gun for each niche. A pocket, single stack 9, compact and a full size.

I know, sell the shield to me (someone you like) and the LC9 to someone you don't know and that you'll never see again.

All kidding aside, the LC9 has so much going for it until you pull the trigger. Sell it.

I'm in the market for the shield...hope to get one soon.

The XDs seems nice, but I've only dry fired one and they are too pricey IMO.

Sell that LC9 pronto!

That thing's a turdburger with extra dudsauce.

Now picking between then shield and xds will be more difficult...

Only one I would keep out of those 3 is the M&P Shield. The others can find new owners.

I'd get rid of all three and buy a Sig 239 for a single stack 9. Just my choice.

Re: Thinning the herd

If I to keep one it'll be the Shield. I don't believe in selling guns anymore. If have sold 3 guns in the past to buy other guns.
Btw I carry a shield or a 45c.
