32 APC ???

I just picked up a Heritage in 32 H&R magnum. Going through the books I see the pistol is capable of firing 32 S&W, 32 S&W long and the 32 mag. Why isn't the 32 ACP included? The numbers work and the cartridge slips in and out without a problem. Would you folks set me straight before I make a mistake? John

I have never tried it but I have read that you can chamber and fire 32 acp in some 32 revolvers. They have just enough rim to headspace. The pressures aren't high enough that I would worry. The accuracy may not be as good.

Just one shot of factory 32acp in an antique 32S&W break top Iver johnson breaktop, and the latch can noticeably stretch. The thin piece of sheet meatl with a hole in it for latch pivot will stretch into an oblong hole with jacketed bullets that have more barrel friction.

To shoot the .32acp in revolver of cal .32mag. is no problem but avoid it gun of .32s&w or .32 S&W long, the high pressure will damage your gun.

32acp is semi rimed and will fit in any 32 s, l, h&r and the new 327.
but as mentioned it may damage older guns. it don't seem like much of a sd
cartrage but in the older guns, its more pressure than they were designed to handle. i load down to 1gr of bullseye under a 75gr lrn. <---all disclaimers about re-loading apply.
