My New to me Smith and Wesson 586

She's a beauty.

I got her today and got 50 rounds through her in a hurry. She's sleeping in the safe as we speak. She shoots like a dream with full power 357's.

Congratulations on a nice find.
It was very disappointing when S&W stopped making them.
But now they are back and hopefully just as good as the original version.
Enjoy and thanks for sharing.
Nice shooting, too.

Nice revolver and nice to see someone actually shooting DA. The "sixbangsandaclick" thing needs work though. And flicking the cylinder shut (6:57) isn't just a loss of style points, it isn't good for the gun.

That Patridge front sight is good for target work. As you note, changing it will involve some 'smithing, in which case, a good option is a Weigand interchangeable sight base, so you can have your Patridge sight for target work, and, say, fiber optic, for applications where that might be better.

Nice gun, congratulations on it.

Those aren't the original grips are they? They do look nice though.

I just finished casting some bullets then with some other bullets and casing I made 130 38's and 36 357's. I'm tired of pulling that damn handle!

Very nice! The 586 is a revolver I will have to own some day.
