Who puts on the best 1911 Armorers course in the States?
Really interested in becoming a 1911 smith!

C&S holds them on a regular basis. Check the website for the current schedule.

I agree with Creeper, Cylinder & Slide has taught a lot of classes on the 1911 pistol, they are the best.
Besides that Bill is a great person, that's done much more to help shooters then the other names listed in your other thread.

Best Regards

To see what you're getting into, I suggest trying to get a copy of AGI's videos on the 1911 to view. Most of these were done by Bob Dunlap, where he used a cut-away 1911 to explain the operation, any problems that could happen, and the takedown and assembly of the pistol. If you want to do it afterwards, then sign up for a course for some hands-on experience. The videos are detailed, and you can have a good understanding of the 1911 before you take the course.
