That's a pretty good deal IMO. But then again, I overpaid out the butt for mine. Oh well, it's a great gun.

I have been grounded from Cabelas for a while.

I think $750 is a little high. There are a lot of 1911 pattern guns on the market in that price range.

It's a great gun and $750 is a good deal. I've never seen one that cheap.

I picked it up and gave it a good cleaning and took it to the range. Tack driver is all I can say. Love the feel and balance, all though I will replace the frt sight with a white dot or some thing or maybe a fiber optic.

Thank you all for the opinions.

Opinion on Springfields .45 Range Officer

Wow... Only two days elapsed from OP to initial range report. That may be a new record around here. Glad you're pleased with your purchase.

They are tack drivers. I bought mine when they first hit the market. Never looked back. It's one of my favorites.

Everything you need and nothing you don't need. I enjoy shooting mine. The price seems to be fair. I've only had mine since New Year's eve. I have put plenty of rounds down range. I would consider getting another one for that price.

Saw one locally tagged $843, and that's about $50 less than I would have expected.

By all accounts great guns. I have found the fit and finish of the Springfield 1911s I've handled to be excellent.
