Sterling PPL .380 Take Down

A friend has this small saturday night special pistol, (Sterling PPL .380). Anybody familiar with how to take it apart? The only thing I found on the internet was some pictures of the gun and a notation that the left grip needed removed to take the slide off.

She shot it at the range the other day and had a lot of jams, might just need cleaning or might be a total piece of junk. I have not seen it in person.

I saw those two links, the first has no instructions and the second is for a different Sterling 380 not the PPL. I think the gun was made in small quantities for a limited time so information is going to be sparse, but maybe someone had one in the olds days and remembers how it is done.

Use a screwdriver to push in the take-down screw on the right side of the gun located just above and in front of the trigger guard---then give the screw a quarter-turn clockwise.

Pull the slide back and lift up the back end until it comes off of the pistol frame.

Push the slide forward and off the pistol. This is as far as you can break down the pistol, as the barrel is permanently affixed to the frame.

The take down instructions are for a different sterling 380. The PPL is a much different model. See my link versus the u-tube video for the sterling 380
