Help me decide my next semi auto

So i am looking at one of four handguns in the rung above hipoint. My first option is a ruger p95 for around $330. Second is an eaa sar b6 for $330 third is a police trade beretta 96d for around $360 shipped and last is a smith sigma .40 used in the area for $260. I am in school and this price range is about the max of what i can afford. I thought about a cz 82 but i cant find them anywhere near $300 and makorov is hard enough to find. I also cant do compact or small size so any other suggestions, please take that into effect.

Of the aforementioned options what would you pick and why?

If you look around hard enough, you can get a brand new Springfield XD 4" barrel service model w two mags, hard case and loader for $399. That would be my choice in either 9 or 40

At that price range I'd be trying to find a Walther PPX, or failing that, a Ruger SR series.

Of your options I'd go with the Beretta.

Those being the only options, I'd probably go with the Beretta. But I think if you're willing to wait and shop around a bit and even save some $$$, you should be able to find better.

Something like a Ruger SR9 (or 40, or 45, depending on what you want...), the above mentioned Sig SP2022 (keeping in mind it only comes with one magazine, and spares before the panic were $40-$50 each) or something similar.

If capacity and price matter....I have a SD9 VE and it functions flawlessly. 16+1 capacity and comes with 2 mags.
The drop Down Barrel system makes feeding ammo a breeze. The newer VE models have the SDT Trigger pull down to About 5.5 lbs.

For Reliability and Hi-cap I recommend it.

Not Familiar with the 96d having that Hi-cap option. I am only Familiar with the 10+1 mags for it.

If you can get the Sigma used for $260 used...and you don't want it or they have more than one...Please let me know. I cannot find them that cheap and i would love to have it for the price.

Beretta is a quality gun that i would love to have a 92bs (black stainless).

Why buy used when a new Ruger SR40C can be had for a hundred or so more ? Sold my Glock 23 Gen1 and adding 50 bucks more got me a new KSR40C, to me it feels "right" and out of the box more accurate then the Glock even after being fine tuned. PS I am NOT a Glock hater.

I didn't even think of the Ruger. I saw those online, SR9 and SR9c for $409 shipped yesterday.

Mine came with 11rd magazines and now Beretta had 12rd magazines for sale on their web site.

P95

I have one and I like it a lot. It has handled all sorts of different ammo without fail and it shoots great. Very accurate. I like the feel of it ... good balanced feel. At least for me.
I don't think you'd be sorry with the purchase.

Were I to be in yojur position, I think that I would seek a good used SIG-Sauer, Glock, Beretta, HK or CZ.

I would prefer used high quality to new medium quality.

The SR9C

1. Under $550, maybe under $500.
2. Shoots like butter.
3. 10+1 or 17+1, since you get both mags.
4. Adjustable backstrap means it fits almost anyone.
5. Accurate, reliable. Not snappy even with +P ammo.

I think he is looking for a full size not the compact and hes looking for an entry level around the low $300 range. If you want to suggest a Ruger in that range it would be the P95.

They are a good entry level after you break in the mags.

The last cheap gun THAT I BOUGHT

Just kidding

I'm fairly certain most modern handguns are fairly reliable. The way I've been doing it is just picking the caliber I want, figuring out the type of gun it's gonna be (open carry, conceiled, range master ) and then just finding the cheapest used one I can find. Best of luck
