Vehicle handgun holster suggestions
I'm thinking about adding a semi auto holster to my 4x4. I have been looking for something prefabricated that stays out of sight as (much as possible), yet is easily accessible. I haven't seen too much out there on this; does anyone have suggestions?

DeSantis Jamaica
Check DeSantis. They market a handgun holster rig for front seat drivers/bodyguards called the Jamacia.
It rides by the driver For a quick release but it's secure/discreet. CF |

piggybacking the thread but...
I bought the one that clips onto the dashboard under the steering wheel.
It works while I am in the car but then what? It is exposed in plain sight if I leave and since I carry condition 1, I now have to handle it in a somewhat awkward manner to get it somewhere else on my person. If anyone is out there listening (hint, hint, ramora or sticky holsters), I would like one just like this but would hold my personal holster and gun in place while I drive. Then I could remove my holstered gun and deal with it with zero risk. Hoping someone comes up with a good solution so I want to keep up with this. Great question, good luick and hope you find what you want.

Safariland makes a quick detach system that allows you to keep your weapon in the holster and still transfer to a number of places I.e. from your belt to your dash and vice versa

Here's another option for car carry. It's a car mount from Grassburr Leather Works.

Correct name: KINGSTON
The correct name for DeSantis' vehicle holster rig is the Kingston.
It's on the website. ClydeFrog |

I figured out the correct name. At first glance I think I would prefer that and the gumcreekcustoms because there is no drilling required. This pistol and setup would just be left in my vehicle so I would not need something modular, but I can understand the need for that.

Bruce Nelson...
Former CA narcotics agent & leathersmith; Bruce Nelson designed a few cool vehicle/aircraft rigs but alas, Mr Nelson passed on several years ago.
Bruce Nelson is most noted for his practical Summer Special IWB holster line. CF |

Just google custom kydex holster (your location) and you are bound to find somebody who can make ya 1. Shouldn't set you back more than 60$ max.

I like mine in pocket on the back of the passenger seat. No need to move unless it is needed. Of course I am 6'2" with long arms.

I use a Maxpedition Universal holster velcroed to the inside of my center console. It works like a champ and I can adjust it to any handgun I wish to carry in my trunk that fits the center console.
