M & P Pro Core Sights

While waiting for the m & p 40L pro core to become available I noticed that the sights on the pro core sit farther back than the pro and standard m & p. I don't see any way to change the sights out without them extending past the rear of the slide. It would be great if they figured this out and retooled. Any thoughts on this?

Why not use the sights it came with?

I'm not into the competition but when I handled a 40L in my local shop I could feel the difference in the new trigger and reset. The higher sights were a little more difficult to hone in without the optics as well. I'll keep the high sights in case I break down and buy the optic but I like the lower profile sights.

Ah, ok I get ya. The higher sights are to clear the optic. The gun is built for competition so if that's not your thing the gun might not be either. You could get a regular pro model and the only thing you'd lack is the optic. Also the newer M&Ps are shipping with better triggers, I have two of them.

My guess is your concern for sights that extend backwards as with typical M&P sights. But there are options like Meprolight which do not do this, so not all hope is lost. The idea that they're going to retool to change this is probably a bit far fetched.
