Case forming question for a 1.8" 358 wildcat

High guys,

I have recently bought an Indiana deer rifle in which the case can be no longer than 1.8" and the bullet has to be no smaller than .357. I bought some cases with the rifle which are reformed 325 wsm. I am concerned that something may happen where I could not get more cases from the original source and would like to form them myself.

I was hoping that the 325 had the correct dimensions and all it needed was to be fire formed up to 358 and maybe the neck shortened but no such luck. It a appears that the shoulder has to be pushed back quite a ways first. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Thanks

Is this the .358 Indiana Express? If so, CH4D makes all the necessary dies. This particular cartridge is on this page, and if you click on the name a balloon with all they dies they make for it and prices pops up. Email them with a list of what you already have for the cartridge so they can get you a list of what you need. Tell them what press you have to be sure it's beefy enough. Buy the lube they recommend for forming. In addition to dies for forming and trimming, you may need an expander mandrel and an inside neck reaming tool for your case trimmer. You need to be able to anneal the neck and shoulder.

Thanks for the replies.

The one that I have is called the 358 Just Hunt, named after the shop that developed it. I don't know how similar it is to the Indiana express, I think the express is based on a 25 wssm case trimmed to 1.65" and this one is a 325 wsm trimmed to 1.8". There are a lot of different wildcats that have been developed to meet the Indiana DNR requirements for rifle rounds for deer hunting. I will definitely contact CH4D to see what they can do.
