Help with drawing back slide

Hi, I do not really know how to explain this, but here goes, I have a problem pulling back the slide and would like to install/mount a winged bar at the rear of the slide (end) so I can pull slide back with two fingers.......Sorry if this is not clear.

Will I need to send my CZ 85 Combat back to CZ or can a local Gunsmith handle this?

There are rear sights that incorporate an extension (wing) to facilitate cocking. I know they are available for 1911s with the original GI rear sight dovetail -- I don't know if they are available for the CZ 85.

This might help

http://www.corneredcat.com/article/r...ack-the-slide/

there are also a number of articles and youtubes showing techniques. There is a tool made by Brass Stacker but it doesn't seem to be available for the CZ.

Here's one type. This one seems to be specific to the 1911 dovetail.

Here's one made to fit a Bomar dovetail:

You might give Dave at Cajun Gun Works a call. He works wonders on various CZ models and might be able to fabricate something.

Is this disability related where it requires you to only use two fingers? If not, thumbing back the hammer first and then doing the overhand method will make it much easier. The 75/85 has a fairly light recoil spring and is much easier to rack than say...a Kahr.

Art---do you have a physical disability that prevents you from charging the slide as it's designed?

Instead of pulling back the slide, try a different tactic. Grasp the slide firmly and "push" the frame away from you (with your finger off the trigger, of course). You will be surprised how much easier that is than pulling the slide.

I have seen a variant of the push method used, mostly by women who don't have enough strength to rack a slide. They hold the gun close and sideways to the torso while pushing the slide toward the pistol. This gives lots of leverage advantage and allows the whole off hand to clamp onto the slide and it works like a charm. Although it's nothing I like seeing, some people must do what they must do if they are weak or have a disability.
