30-30 lever dies?

Should I get standard or short base dies for lever action 30-30. Thanks for you responses.

A standard die set should work just fine. I did not know that they made a small base die set for .30-30 Win.

Standard dies should serve you well for a lot of years to come.

Thanks I was getting for my sons gunandthoughti had read short for lever. That's why I check with you guys first. Awesome place for answers as always.

Note case lube will be needed for loading with any die set you get. There are many out there. Most work well if you follow the directions.

I've used my Hornady Custom Grade New Dimension dies for Eldest's 30/30 for a very long time now ...... the price tag says $18.49, purchased at Cabela's about 10 years ago. They work, and very well, IMO.

While I'd like to think they have appreciated in value (new ones run almost $47 from Hornady, without shipping), I believe the value of the dollar has shrunk, as opposed to the dies becoming more valuable .......
