Colt shuts down...temporarily? Anyone read this?
http://news.yahoo.com/colt-shuts-pla...113403810.html
In a lot of ways, I applaud this move, but like anything else Colt has ever done, I hope they have planned for all of the real and potential consequences of this move. I also just read that they began building a new plant in Florida sometime last year. I wonder if they are considering moving out of CT ? Supposedly the new plant in FL was considered an "expansion" factory due to increased sales and demand in the last so many years. Its nice to see a small American gun company doing well. It also feels kind of weird to refer to them as small, but really, at the present time, they are much smaller than S&W or Ruger.

That was a huge cost for Colt. Kudos to them.

I read that they shutdown for a day and bussed their employees to the state capital to protest an anti gun law. My understanding was that all of day shift and a few of the off shifts went. Kudos to Colt for making a stand. They did this to show the crooks in state government the faces of the people that would be effected by these laws.
