Is this normal for a G4 Glock 22 Frame?

Made 12/2011, 1000 factory 180 grain FMJ rounds downrange, no malfunctions of any sort including brass to the face, the RSA is seated properly during re-assembly. Thanks for your insight. It appears to be acute versus chronic-----ergo it's not progressive. Yes I know you like the shoes. They're UGS----God's gift to former athletes or those who do or have done a lot of manual labor.

It's not uncommon for the plastic to not fully "fill in" the area on top of the front frame rail fixture. (The frame rails are connected, being part of a U-shaped steel fixture.)

They vary from one frame to the next.

Thanks fast. I am not sure if it was a void from the get/go or an area where the recoil spring end that mates with the barrel lug is running. Other than this, I am very pleased with this pistol FWIW.

If you don't properly seat the recoil spring into the barrel when you reassemble the gun, it can jump and bite the plastic frame. You'll have a metal smiley face, or ripped up plastic on the receiver. One of my Glocks had this, presumably someone at the LGS didn't re-assemble it right.

It's ugly, but doesn't affect reliability.

I am a perfectionist......when it comes to firearms nomenclature. I am certain to was properly assembled but thank you for your time and insight. The more I look at it; the more I think it could be a void.
