"Are you sure you weren't looking at a Kahr PM9?"

I'm sure. The CW9 at Gander is $529.00 and the CM9 is , I believe $569.00, but couldn't swear that is correct. I know it was over $550.00. The PM9 was right at $800.00.

If you pull up the Gander website they show the CM9 for $549.00.

Unfortunately prices from prior to Oct/Nov 2012 are hard to find these days. From what I can see a Nano will go for around $400 and a CM9 for around $450 on average, looking at typical online prices.

Hey guys GO TO KAHRS web site and look at retail prices. Retail prices of the Kakr CM9 is $517. Our local lgs sell them for 375 dollars. Your cabela is shafting customers. The CW9 retails for 485 and sells for 350 to $375 around here.

Also I can't see whay so many compair the cm9 to the sheild. When the cw9 is still smaller.

Shows the same retail prices at Lipsey too.

Only big box store sell for retail And if they sell for more than retail there hump'n the customers along with some lgs 's .

Then you shouldn't be shopping there, since they are overcharging by $150 - $200.

I haven't shot the Nano. I own and carry the CM9. The trigger is the reason I do. I have owned and shot other small, lightweight handguns with heavy triggers. This makes them more difficult to shoot accurately, even at close ranges. Hitting where I aims is pretty important to me.

Leaning more toward the CM9 now based on all your feedback and other articles I've read, as well as re-assessing my recent visit to Gander where I was able to dry fire the Nano. Nano's trigger was smooth but heavier, with a little bit of increased tension toward the back of the pull. CM9's trigger was somewhat lighter and more consistent across the entire pull, more like a nice DA revolver.

Thanks again all.

That's how I would describe the CM9's trigger as well. It's like the world's nicest DA revolver trigger.

After reading opinions here and already having my own. This noob is going to go with the CM9 I have been considering an LC9 as well but I like my CW40. My girl friend had one FTL with the CW40 but I never did. Not sure what the deal was but cleared it and kept going with no other issues. That was after 250 rounds or so. The 200 round break in is noticeable. Works much more smoothly after those first 200 rounds and a good cleaning.
I'm liking Kahr.

That is a link to my review of the Nano. Actually you can find my inital review as well as my update. I find the Nano to be a fantastic carry gun. Night sights make it even better.

I am currently carrying it in an old faithful but have carried it in a remora as well.

Regards, Vermonter

FTL? What's that? Failure to Lockback or Failure to Load?

I vote for the CM9. I got a CW9 for $350 here in Wisconsin. Gander Mountains here sell it for $500 or $550. Gander Mountains rip people off on almost every item from magazines, ammo, gunsmithing, and guns. Search around for a local gun shop that doesn't rip people off and patronize it.

I like the entire Kahr line and have had the opportunity to fire a PM9, CW9's, T9, and a K9. But the Nano is probably a good gun, too.

The mags have dropped free in all the versions I've tried.
