High capacity 45 acp.

I am looking into buying my last gun for a year or so. I have so many already, and need a good reliable car. Mine is starting to have problems. I have enough money to fund this last gun, so no worry there. I want a full size 45 that has a decent capacity. 10+ rounds. I already have a 1911, so not interested in another.. I am looking at police trade in glock 21 gen 3 for $435, but want to know if you guys might know of any other good 45's. I would consider an XD or a variant, but I cannot find one at a decent price.

I noticed you are in MO. PM me the location of that Glock, and I'll eliminate the need for you to consider it!

Just kidding. Sounds like a pretty good deal if it's in any kind of decent shape at all. Especially with all the panic craziness now.

Grab that G21 quick. Can't possibly go wrong at that price.

Cheap shooter-It's on Summit gun. They're police trade ins. Jedd- I shot a Taurus 24/7 of my friends. Did not care for it. Pico- have you any expierence with one? I know they're new to 2013, but I don't know if they have problems or not.

SR 45

I owned an SR9C and thought it was great. I sold it only to get an LC9 for lighter carry. The SR series are Ruger's best guns IMO. The trigger on my SR9C was outstanding.

Ruger will make it right if there is a problem.

The Glock deal is a good one as they said, if you like Glocks.

I have used my glock 22 as a range gun for 4 years now, and have become very proficient with it. Although its the only glock I have shot. One other I am considering is an fnp 45. I like the single action ability. I would like to get a sig P220 but they only hold what 7 or 8 rounds?

I'd definitely recommend the XDm, but it cost more than the XD so that won't help. For about the same money as the used Glock you might be able to get the SR45.

I have a CZ 97b with Nill grips and SA trigger installed. Tried it in competition recently and was very surprised to find it gave me higher scores than my P01.

I had a G21sf, couldn't shoot it worth a darn. Trigger felt like I was squishing a caterpillar and the grip angle had me doing unintended headshots at ten yards.

If you can buy a G21 for $435, jump on it.
Or buy three and sell the others on line and make a buck or three.

If you can afford it, it doesn't get much better than the H&K USP in .45acp. You really cant go wrong with the Glock though, if it is still in the shop I would scoop it up.

Here are your choices for true large capacity .45's (might be others, but these are what I am aware of)

STI 2011
Megastar .45
Para Ordnance P-14
Glock 21
EAA / Sarsilmaz K2 45 acp 14 round magazine
EAA Tanfoglio Witness 45

CZ 97 or Witness target would be my choices. Also love my Nill grips on the 97.

Oh, forgot to add. If I was looking at a polymer double stack, it would be the S&W M&P with Apex kit. Thin, low bore axis, good ergo's.

I'm picking mine up tomorrow from Mark (Summit Gun Broker). I'll let you know the shape it is in.

Pictures added 3/12/13...

I'm pretty happy with the condition and price, especially at the current price craziness. It was carried that is for sure. The slide shows "bright spots" from the holster. The night sights are dim, but still usable.

I'll let you know how it shoots.

My newest pistol fits that bill nicely but you'll pay a "bit" more than $435.

Get the Glock! Can convert to 10mm with a barrel swap and 10mm mags also.

xD or xDm, as you have seen, are great high capacity 45's. another option is the fnp 45. it actually has higher capacity than the xDm.
