cheap way to raise the comb on LAR 8?

hello everyone.

I have a LAR 8 mid length A4 and i need a higher comb on it. i cant even get decent groups at 200yards trying to to make it work. i want to use it at a 500yard shoot. knowing that the rock river guns use different parts than the mainstreem makers. so what is the cheapest way to raise the comb on this rifle?

thankyou,
stevo

Probably a piece of pipe insulation and some duct tape. Granted you may want to use something a little nicer than duct tape. Just make sure the charging handle still has enough room.

On the expensive side, the magpul prs stock might fit.

If it has an adjustable stock there are snap on risers that are designed for that purpose. http://www.amazon.com/s/?ie=UTF8&key...l_3l8se7bgt8_b

Ah, right, my bad.

LaRue makes one designed for the AR, but it's $60.

Re: cheap way to raise the comb on LAR 8?

Since you already have a CTR this may be worthless info, but somebody has been selling the combo (CTR + Larue sliding riser) on EBay for$100. Seemed like a good deal. Would have bought one myself but I'm holding out for something tan...
