Where can you find a CZ 82 these days? I remember somebody had them for $190 before shipping a few months ago.
A quick look at the FFL only portion of Southern Ohio Guns website shows them as in stock for $239.00.

I agree that they are great guns. And at a great price. According to the SOG website, only a few more dollars than I paid for mine a few years ago. A bit heavier than the plastic or alloy featherweights from comercial makers today, but not so much as to be uncomfortable. Good SD ammo availability may be a problem, as it is with most rounds today. But it is out there If you search enough.

I will agree that the P238 is by far the easiest .380acp out there. They have an incredibly easy slide to rack yet has very pleasant recoil. Not too sure how that works, but it does.
My P238HD is more enjoyable to shoot than my much larger CZ82 despite being much smaller, thanks to the blowback of the latter.

However, for what paid for my CZ82, I could have purchased 3 for what I paid for my P238HD.

The CZ82 is a stout pistol with a very nice trigger and appreciable capacity.
I love mine and it's whole heck of a lot more fun to shoot than my P64 (that has a sweet SA and horrendous DA trigger).

Installing a lighter hammer spring from Wolf Gunsprings http://www.gunsprings.com/index.cfm?...s&cID=1&mID=49 will result in a much better DA trigger pull. It will still have plenty of power for reliable ignition. With that simple modification, the P64 would he a good, smaller, more narrow alternative for the OP to the CZ82.

+1 on the CZ-82; great ergonomics, good for CC, extremely accurate, fun to shoot and hi cap mag to boot; that's why I have 5 of them

Most undervalued pistol in the marketplace. I have 4 of them stashed here and there. Carry one now and then as my EDC and do so with confidence.

If you can handle its weight for its size, Then it will do its job.

I sometimes carry one of it's smaller cousins (CZ-70) as a BUG or primary carry if I'm just going back and forth to work. You can't kill them, and mine is a fun gun to shoot.

And I thought I was a bit nutty when I got my third one.
