Glocks and KCI Magazines
So what is the scoop on the Korean KCI Glock Mags ? They are a bit cheaper than the factory mags. Any one use em - how do they work for you ?

They are good... if you replace the springs (use Wolf Gun Springs or Glock) and take a few minutes to trim the plastic shards around the mag throat. The KCI springs are pretty bad, these rest of the mag is good.

I have a bunch of them now, and they have all worked fine. They dont load quite as smoothly as the factory mags, but the seem to empty just fine.
All I did with mine, was to take them out of the wrap, load them and shoot them.

I have a couple of of them and they do empty fine, but I can not load them to max. The 17 round mags will only load up 15 rds

Re: Glocks and KCI Magazines
I have 6 of the 33rnd KCI mags for my G17. Few thousand rounds without a failure. I trust em.

(One I put a Wolff spring in. The Wolff spring for the 19 is an extra power spring, that doubles as a spring for the longer G17 magazine. Pretty stiff. I will probably eventually get an extended base to use with that spring.) KCI springs are shorter, and made with thinner wire. Note the pic with the springs in the magazine and with baseplates off. The KCI spring barely peeks out the bottom of the magazine. Not much ooomph there, to help feed cartridges. Oh, yeah. While I was doing this, one of the KCI magazine bases broke. Ooops. So, some more Glock OEM stuff I need to order out.

I had 10 of the drop-free 15rd 9mm KCI mags when I owned a G19 that I bought for $6 each. I trimmed any excess plastic off inside the body and around the feed lips, but I never changed out the springs and they were 100% reliable. IMO, they're perfect range mags to keep your factory mags like new and if anything wears out, factory Glock internals work just fine.

No way in hell I'd trust one for defensive use.
