Yes, it has. It was a problem with earlier production full size 9mms but they have alleviated that problem.

They do get better the more they are shot.

The new triggers are much better. The triggers that now come in the standard models are better than triggers in early Pro models.

But yes, they all get better the more they are shot.

Constantine, I think you know my opinions on the M&P. I'd recommend opting for the Pro - especially if you're going to carry it. The factory night sights are nice, and the trigger is better - just run through that little trigger bar polish that I posted last night and you'll be good to go. I'm really liking mine.

There were never any accuracy issues with the FS 40 and 45 or the compact 9mm, but there were issues with the FS 9mm. The FS 9mm M&P's were hit or miss on accuracy. Some shot great others did not. Now we are talking about grouping at 25 yards. They were always plenty good for up close work like most of them are used for. S&W has since redesigned their barrels which seems to have solved the issue. Barrel lockup to breach measurements appear to be tighter and groups have shrunk on the reviews I've seen. If its a worry of yours just make sure that the date on the fired case is late 2012 and newer.

The M&P pro sreies are one of the few polymer guns I like.

You can do your own trigger work from this link. I did both of my Pro series 4.25'' and my 5''.

Unfortunately it is not a Pro Series, wish it was..But it's an even trade anyways. I don't mind getting the basic 4.25 M&P 9

Either I itch myself now and get this with a trade or I pay up $600+ of what I don't have but know I'll do anyways. Right?

I would not hesitate to recommend the M&P Pro. As I recently purchased an M&P PRO CORE (Competition Optic Ready Equipment). This pistol is quite good in all respects. Good trigger for a plastic pistol, slide premachined to accept several micro-Red Dots. Also comes with 5 mounting plates for different makes of micro red dots. Unlike my H&K Tactical and FN Tactical, which are large to carry concealed. The M&P Pro CORE with the very small J-Point red dot is easily concealable and carriable. This package will enable you to shoot a full mag through a quarter size hole at 8 yards. Or from a rest, a squirrel in the head at 25 yards.

I like the Shield personally, everyone I know has an M&P and that makes me unable to own one. They shoot well, and are nicer looking than Glocks to me so I give them a thumbs up (sans the early ones with the lack of a trigger reset) and I've shot the 9mm and the .45.

I'll make sure not to comment on the backgrounds of pictures though in the future
