Get the 26
You will not regret it. The gun you will carry beats the one on the nightstand.

I like the G19, but I prefer the G26 for concealed carry. I know that the 1/2 inch or so increase in dimensions don't sound like much, but it makes for easier concealment for me, and the little pistol is easy to shoot well. There are folks, including me, that are for whatever reason a bit more accurate with the smaller pistol.
It really is going to come down to personal preference, though, so if you can possibly find an opportunity to handle them, you should. |

It's 80 degrees outside today. I took my kids to the zoo. I was in shorts and a T-Shirt. I was carrying a G19 in a hybrid style IWB holster with a spare mag, and an LCR in my pocket. Unless you knew me, or I had somehow flashed my gun or mag, there was no way you would know I was carrying. Truly, a G19 is not hard to conceal.

Glock19 Or Glock26 ?

I also went to the zoo about 2 months ago and had my Glock 19 on me and a spare mag as well. I carry 24/7 I think no where is safe. And I have every right to. |

I make it a point to carry 2. I can't reach the weapon on my right side with my left hand, so I carry another gun, just in case something happens to my right arm/hand.
![]() And I'm like Constantine. If I knew where danger was lurking, I wouldn't need to carry because I could just avoid it. Unfortunately, I don't know where danger is, and it could be anywhere. So I carry everywhere it is legal to. |

As between the 19 and the 26, I'd go with the 19. Not that I've ever owned a Glock in my life (just so's you know what my opinion is worth in this), but the 19 strikes me as much more versatile, and my wardrobe and lifestyle will allow me to carry something in that size.

I'm of the mindset that a pistol should be comforting, not comfortable. I'd say the 19. Under stress, the difference between the extra fraction of an inch of sight radius and the extra 5 rounds is likely to seem like a world of difference. With that said, it's probably a good idea to get both for those times when your dress can't accommodate the 19.

G26 is nice, I just got the G27 and the recoil is not as bad as people say.

Well hopefully she found the 19 somewhere and at a decent price (miracles do happen, right?
). I happen to enjoy my gen 4, 19 as well, although I don't carry it as my full time carry piece. I rotate it with a subcompact 9mm, depending on what I am wearing. I don't purse carry at all.

I say go with the G27 - Its identical to the G26 except it runs 40s&w, which is on the store shelves nowadays.
Plus, as a bonus it can also run 9mm with a 10-second swap to a Lone Wolf 9mm barrel and a standard G26 magazine. The G27 is as potent and versatile as a small pistol can be - its my absolute favorite so far. |
