Woo hoo! Got to test out my first personal rifle loads.

Finally got to try out my first rifle rounds.

.223/5.56

Swapped Nosler 77 grain BTHP for the Hornady 75 grain, started at the bottom loading of RL 15 for 10, then 10 of the middle loading.

Was actually VERY surprised. Sure I wasn't in the best situation for for testing. Bipod front rest, no real rear rest, 10 is a small sample size, and a red dot at 100 yards that is barely smaller than the bullseye.

But I had 1 in the 10 ring on an 8 inch shoot'n'C, about halfway in the bullseye at 100 yards with the low loading. 2 that were just about exactly bisected by the line. 2 in the 7 ring, 2 and 2 halves in the 8 ring. 1 and 4 halves in the 9 ring.

On the medium loading, 1 in the bull plus another 4 and a half in the 10 ring, 3 in the 8 ring, and only 1 in the 7 ring. That extra powder appears to have put another 5 inside the diameter of a drinking glass.
