Salt water fishing. What should I take? (for fun)

I'm going tomorrow. I'm always armed but curious to know TFL's thoughts on which of my following main CCW's I should take.

I'm going to list it in order of what I carry the most w/o salt water in the equation, starting from the top.

You are not thinking of ruining that awesome P220 in the salt spray are you? Take a polymer for resistance to salt and a cheaper Glock 21. I need to get me one of those just in case I want to go salt water fishing.

Saw an old movie "Islands in The Stream"? in which Hemmingway used a B.A.R. on a hammerhead. What're you fishin' for?

LMFAO

I'm leaning towards one of the Glocks. Probably the 17

I'm on my phone now so I can't see the poll results yet.

I'd take a Glock disposable.

Certainly NOT a fine weapon such as SIG.

lol I'm at my computer now. That is hilarious how SIG didn't get one vote yet and the reasons why.

I favor my SIG's other than near or on saltwater.

Is SIG really that quick to rust over?

Especially my P220. It's the carbon steel slide from the year 2000. Some long days after wearing it for 18 hours it gets a little bit of rust on the slide and I wipe it down with a lightly oiled rag.

Didn't know it'd be that serious.

I'll either end up taking the Glock 30sf or 17

I'm going to miss my P220 -_-

I been told a Glock gen 2 sits at the Glock factory in salt water for past 10-15 years. Take the Glock!

I voted Glock 30 due to the polymer frame and that it's a .45. I would avoid salt water on Sig frames, especially since Sig will not ever refinish the frame for you.

How about a fishing rod and reel? Leave the piece at home.

Take a High Point. You can use it as a club or an anchor in a pinch.

But, but, how else are you supposed to humanely put the fish out of their misery?

"Fishing" already consists of a rod and reel. Gosh. lol.

I'm taking the good ol' blue label Glock17. My favorites won't mind sitting this one out.

I'll get on my computer before I leave and see the poll results :O

I doubt seriously you'd hurt any of them if you keep them oiled and lubed up like you should do anyway.

My grandfather hunted ducks and geese out on "the big water" (Chesapeake Bay) for years, no, make that decades, using his Parker and A.H.Fox shotguns and never had a rust problem, but he took care of his guns.

I caved. I took the SIG P226.

I'm weak.

So far, less than 8% would take a SIG.

Most of us know what's valuable and what isn't.

I know! I couldn't contain myself. My SIG 226 came with me. In a high retention holster. I love that and the P220 so much lol.
