It works too, I contacted my Legislators using it and have received replies from one of my US Senators and one Congressman.

It's nice to see Ruger on board this time around. I believe that Bill Ruger was supportive of the first semiautomatic ban because the Ruger Mini-14 was not included. The anti gun folks have changed that and I believe the Mini-14 is now considered to be a "deadly assault weapon" by name. It doesn't have the required cosmetic features, so they just included it by name. This apparently got the attention of the Ruger company. Welcome to the battles.

^USAF, love the Sam Adams quote, I will use that sometime for sure. (and he makes a great beer)

I used Ruger's link a week ago and have only gotten one response. Guess my other elected officials were too busy working to reply...RIGHT.

It would be nice to see the 1 million milestone reached.

And as far as Sam Adams making good beer, I agree. It's always a good decision. I hope we continue to have good decisions coming from the US Supreme Court with respect to the 2nd Amendment and our right to keep and bear arms. I'm not wrapped up in my comfort blanket, however. We are hanging by a 1 vote thread. Swing that the other way in Heller, and the antis would be going for the throat with new gun control laws.

It took a good while for mine to reply. Be patient. They are likely being overwhelmed.

Well over 667,000 including mine. Nice to be in a state though where our governor takes her Concealed Carry class.

Considering that it's now at 667,400 and change, we very well may. At the rate it's going up (over 20,000 in less than 24 hours), it probably won't take us all that long to reach the one million mark. If you really want to be amazed, hit the refresh button every few minutes and watch it climb.

Just received my first reply

Dear Jeff,

Thank you for contacting me about the tragic and senseless violence in Newtown, Connecticut. I appreciate you sharing your thoughts and concerns with me.

If there is anything that deeply unites Americans across the country it is our love for our children and grandchildren and our desire to keep them safe. In the wake of the heartbreaking tragedy at Sandy Hook elementary, all of us must come together to determine what steps can be taken to protect our children. That means discussing how we can strengthen our gun laws to help stop attacks like this from happening again, while protecting responsible gun ownership and preserving our hunting heritage. It also means strengthening mental health services, and focusing on the broader culture of violence in the media and our society. These solutions may not be easy, but one thing should be clear – complacency and inaction until the next attack must not be an option.

Thank you again for contacting me. Please continue to keep me informed about issues of concern to you and your family.
Sincerely,

Debbie Stabenow

I really didn't expect anything from her considering her anti stance.

It's good to see Ruger on our side. I went ahead and ordered a t-shirt from them while I was on their site.

I did it, I'm going to count it as one letter, I have been writing letters to anyone I can get an email or physical address for.

I did it, but I'm in Wyoming, and we fight the good fight anyway. Mine went in just before the 700,000 mark.

THe only anti-gun reps for me are Brown and Obama. Both lost causes. Everyone else will at least keep their mouth shut.
