New (to me) 686 plus question
Hi All,
I have recently acquired a 4" 686 Plus and, as this is my first Smith, I have a question. While dry firing, I can feel the spring (not sure of the correct term) "hitting" the back strap. Is this normal? Function seems fine, but I haven't fired it yet. Thanks in advance |

You might be feeling the rebound spring or hammer block "deploying".

Thanks! I may have used the wrong term. I feel something striking the rear of the grip itself where the palm of my hand grasps the gun.
