New Member- Sport King Question

Hello all. My wife just inherited her Dad's Sport King 22. It's had trouble feeding ammo since we got it, so I got a new magazine. That helps some, but it still feeds poorly. I think now it may be a weak driving spring. I can get a new one from Brownells, but don't know how to remove the driving spring plunger and driving spring. I took out the pin that hold them to the frame, but for soem reason the plunger won't come out. Suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Use some penetrating oil like Kroil or similiar and soak the plunger hole/plunger.
Then press the plunger lightly to break it loose.

Guncrank- Tried the Kroil. I can move the plunger within the frame, but it won't come out of the frame. I tried twisting it 360 degrees within its channel thinking there might be a slot, but no go. I don't want to use force, but it just won't come out for some reason.

Here's a schematic.

The plunger may be damaged or the tunnel may be fouled.
If you can grab it just pull until it comes out. new plungers are readily available from Gun Parts.

If you can move the plunger almost out, but the enlarged head is stopping near the front of the tunnel, it's possible the front edge of the tunnel has been slightly battered and compressed, You may need to lightly bevel the edge to open it back up to original condition.

I am confused a bit. The OP keeps using the term "frame" but the driving spring is not in the frame it is in the slide. And once the pin is removed, the plug, the spring and the plunger should come out to the front in that order, with the plunger (recoil spring guide) last.

Is it the plunger (# 1330) or the plug (# 10090) that won't come out?

All-Thanks for the replies. The video link supplied by factoryrat was exactly what I needed to see. It's the plug (part #10090) that seems to be stuck. In the video, the driving spring plunger plug has to be hammered into place. As Dfariswheel suggests, the plug has indeed been battered into place, so some force will be needed to remove it.

As mentioned previously, this is my first post. I am very grateful for the replies, and very impressed with the knowledge to be found on this forum. Thanks again!
