Kramer leather ...horsehide...is what I use ( for a mag pouch / and holsters)....regardless of the weapon choice.

Yes, its horizontal. I find them more comfortable and concealable than the vertical kind.

For many years and still use a Gerber black cordura/velcro Multi-tool pouch. Fits my G22 (15rd) and XD45 (13rd) mags. If someone sees it, it looks like a...multi tool pouch. Cheap and works great.

I'll second a horizontal mag pouch. More comfortable, easier to conceal, and for me at least, easier to draw from.
