Insanity

Recently purchased a S&W M&P 22 for some less expensive shooting / practice. Have been looking for a few spare mags and have not been able to locate any so far. Found someone that was selling two 10 round mags on E-Bay. Started to watch the auction, it was at $101.00 when I started watching. They ended up selling for $256.00 + shipping. That is crazy. If anyone has a lead on some I would appreciate some direction. Thanks.

Ebay is notorious for fake bidders riding up the price, aka either the seller or someone he knows.

That's pure madness. ~$127 for 10 rd 22rl mag!

I'll stick with my 1 mag that came in the box for now, thanks. Waiting for this non-sense to go away.

While eBay sellers do sometimes employ "shill bidders" to raise the price, that's mostly for auctions where there's not much action and the seller wants to instigate a bidding war.

I doubt that's the case here, though. Anything gun-related on eBay is getting plenty of attention, and while the winning bid amounts may seem "crazy" to us, they're most likely legitimate bids.

I ordered a couple for my M&P 22 from S&W back at the end of Dec and a couple more for my shield in Jan. All I hear when I call to check on the order is a recording saying, "thank you for your order, that item is out of stock and is on backorder, thank you for calling, goodbye." click.
