Brass polish

Hi all. Just wanted some opinions on what the best polishinng compound is to use on the brass on my kentucky. I'm not sure where to get it. Thank you!

umm Brasso always worked great on my uniform.

But personally I think firearms looks so good after the brass tarnishes.

+1 on the Brass-O and you can buy it at most any hardware store.

In terms of performance, Never-dull and Brasso are about neck and neck.

So it depends upon your preference. Brasso is in liquid form and you wipe it on, let it set for a bit, polish it and wipe it off.

You do the same thing with Never-dull but it isn't a liquid, it comes in polish saturated wadding. Polish the brass with the wadding, then throw the wadding away and final polish with a clean cloth.

+1. The natural patina that brass aquires is not at all unattractive and is a lot less likely to spook game when you go hunting.

Just make sure if you use Brasso on that rifle that you pick up some sunglasses for whatever you're shooting at - they usually have sunglasses for squirrels, rabbits, deer and bear at most sporting goods stores . . .

All depends as there are some that I will never polish. Then there are those that it really doesn't' matter. ...

The smell of Brasso, always takes me back to my military years and it is good stuff. I was given a plastic jar of Mother's Mag and it works well also. ..

+1 on Flitz. Use it on everything. Plus, it doesn't scratch or harm bluing or paint, and applies an anti-tarnish coating to the brass.
