SKS 7.62 x 39 Russia

I have a SKS 7.62 x 39
I believe this was a Russian made rifle
It also has CAl 8T ALBVT stamped on it.
My question is, Can the magazine be converted to accept a 30 round magazine and if so what parts would be required?
Thanks in advance,

Great site to find out more about your sks. I believe they all can be converted but I don't know how as I have no desire to.

They make a sks 30 rounder that just replaces the fixed ten round, made by tapco and a number of others. If you're talking modifying it for AK47 mags it has been done, but it's alot of work. The Chinese exported a sks that took ak mags, but Clinton but a end to that in 94.

It can be done.

Not everything that can be done should be done.

There are cheaper and simpler solutions to the problem than ruining the collector value of a Russian made SKS.

Butbutbutbutbut !!!!!!11111!!! I want to "mod" it!

"mod"= take something that works and fix it until it does not.
