Price check Ruger Super Blackhawk

Local shop has a used blue SBH with 5 inch barrel 44 mag. Seems in really good shape very little wear. Rubber grips, this will be my first center fire SA purchase. Asking $499
Deal or no deal?

Yeah I reload .38, .357 and have the dies for 45 acp. Just don't have a 45 to shoot right now.

I'd talk them down a bit unless they have the wood grips too...

The Blackhawks are going up, it seems... the last four I've bought were between 280 and 360 dollars... 280, 300, and 325 for Super Blackhawks with factory grips... and 360 for a stainless .357 with 5 inch barrel.

None of mine are for sale either though...

Good deal. I paid $499 for an "Excellent" a couple of years ago.

Five inch? Or five and a half inches?

If it is five inches, its been cut down.

5 1/2 I would think. I'm going try and get back there tomorrow. The 44 is nice but I have been checking out the 45lc and 45 acp ones as well.

New here they are approaching 600-650 or so. Even used I see them over 500 so if in good shape and you like it offer them $450 and go up from there accordingly

No deal, for me.
I can get a brand new one for just $40 more.

But... I fully understand that we have very different gun markets across the country, and I'm lucky enough to live in one that's very competitive. A good deal for me may be a steal to you, and a good deal for you may be a ripoff to me.
