Steve, where do you hail? When I ask my LGS they giggle. Most of them are now S&W shops though. $399 is a great price, I would buy every one of them. I'm in Johnson City, TN |

Got a call last night from my LGS that my Shield is in.
 I put $50 down on Dec 15 to get on the waiting list. I was told at the time that I was second in line. Hopefully they don't jack the prices up.

When I was picking up my Shield today I overheard another guy at the counter tell a customer that they had 40 of them come in yesterday. They even had one in the display case that was not taken. Unfortunately they are selling them for $60 more than when I put my name on the list last month. $499.
