Glocks and small(er) hands?
Got a friend who really likes the glock platform, however, he and his girlfriend don't care for the feel of it in the hand (They have small-medium sized hands like me) Since I have absolutely no real experience in shooting glocks (Other than the handful of times I rented and fired them at a local range) I was wondering if any of you Glock-holics might know of a model that might be more fitting for his and his girlfriends smaller hands.
He's already got a CZ75 compact (The bastard) that he really likes and carries daily, but he's looking for something lighter and relatively simple to use for both him and his girl. From my experience, all Glock handguns tend to be a little thick in the grip. Told him to just look at the SP-01 in the CZ line up but he was insistant on a Glock. Anyone have some suggestions? As I said, I'm not well versed with Glock' line of products. |

Try the G36, it uses a thin single stack mag.

I really liked my friends Glock 19, but the grip is too thick for my hand and my thumb doesn't reach the mag release very well. Anyways I ended up with a Ruger SR9C which is identical in size to the glock but the grip fits my hand a lot better and I have no problem with the mag release. One other thing I can suggest is they make extended mag releases for the glocks, that might be something to consider.

M&P will likely feel better for smaller hands (w' small palmswell in place), but you'll have to get used to not getting hit in the face by hot brass like current production 9mm Glocks seem to want to do.

Subcompact in Gen 4
Between the different grips they should be able to find something they can settle on. I have what I consider to be medium hands (I wear that size glove) and this is my Glock O Choice.

If someone doesn't like a Glock I usually suggest they look hard at the M&P.

Ditto for the M&P, but with an Apex kit.
