Selling AR - Price? Keep?
I have a Rock River Arms National Match Rifle. It has detachable carry handle with match sights 1/4 x 1/4 .30 aperature. Stainless barrel. Leather match sling. How much should I ask in these panic buying days? Or should I just keep it?

Do you shoot it? Would you miss it? Those are the questions you should ask to determine if you want to sell.

Don't shoot anything as much as I'd like. I generally don't sell anything, but thought I might sell the AR if the price was right. Just not sure how much to ask. What are these selling for?

Might want to search Gunbroker and see what they are going for on there.

Agree, check Gunbroker sold section to check current prices. Also, ask yourself for what amount are you willing to part for it? $1 = no, $10,000 = YES!, so where along that spectrum is the amount you would want to feel satisfied it was a good sale for you. Compare that to the Gunbroker prices and see if you are willing to part for current prices.
I have heard crazy things and it seems to vary by region of the country. On one board a guy said he just sold his DPMS Panther .223 (nothing fancy, base model) he bought for $800 to a happy buyer for $2,600. If you list below market value then it will go fast.

I think the crazy prices are coming down.
I saw a Colt Sporter selling for $900. But at the same page, I saw someone peddling a New Frontier complete lower plus a PSA upper for $1500. I'd buy the Colt if I needed one. To answer part of your question, sell it if you are not going to miss it. Price is dictated by the market. Check your LGS to see what they are selling theirs for. |

Local newspaper had a stripped lower for $500 and a lower with stock and trigger group for 800. That is crazy. I couldn't find another Rock River National Match for sale.

The last stripped upper I bought just over a year ago was $49.00 from Palmetto State Armory.

If you think the gun bans will not materielize then sell at the high prices, replace when they come down.
If you think they will go through keep it, 'cuz when the $ is spent you may kick yourself. |

i'd sell it for the real price an not the price now. if people keep raising the price on guns they would never go down. sell it for around $1k cause they sell new for around $1.2k right?

No, I don't recall it being "Special looking" in any way but, I think it did have some nice optic on it that would have boosted the price some.
