Glock 19 4th gen needs a new frame.

Not the Glocks fault...Mine. So I'm in the market for a new frame. Found a gen 4 frame on gun broker. It's over in 2 hours. So help!!!!

The rest are gen 3's.

My questions..what are the negative aspects of having different serial numbers from barrel/frame/slide? Any prolonged process in case of anything? I mean..when I sent my Glock 22 up for a refinish, they changed my barrel free of charge. And that's different.

Also, I want a gen 4 cause well...the gun is a gen 4 and I took a liking to it.

If it gets sold, would I be okay with a gen 3 on a gen 4 slide?

No. A Gen3 slide is not compatible with a Gen4 frame.

It seems like there's a back story here.... Stipple it too deep?

Also, I read here - so take it for what it's worth - that Glock will replace frames for a reasonable price. The post was awhile ago, and I'm not sure that the poster ever backed it up, but it might be worth a call to Glock CS just in case.

Nope. Doesn't work that way either.

dayman, I called Glock..they said they don't sell or give out frames.

I didn't mess it up. I'll post a pic from my phone in a second. I just had completely back to stock for CCW but the stippling isn't factory. I should have bought a frame and did the stippling to that one instead and keep that matching serial number with this on for CCW. I did backwards.

Should I just keep the stippled frame for CCW?

P. Daddy! lol thanks brother. Had a feeling...thanks for the reply. Following the YouTube channel btw.

There it is

Just don't like having a modified CCW with anything other than night sights.

For carry I'd just keep it the way it is. I generally prefer grip tape, but I like carrying a gun with some purchase.
If it bothers you, you could change it, but I'd think it would be just as reliable as it was before - it's not like you changed the trigger or any of the working parts. Nor did you do anything to make it appear scarier, or anything that's likely to make a DA decide you're overly bloodthirsty should you ever have to use it.
If it's too "sticky" you can always lightly sand it, but yeah, I'd just go with it.

Yeah..that puppy has over 1k through it. Carried often. Internally, all stock.

The DA lol that's what I was aiming at trying to keep it stock. They're spin anything that's nothing into something. Drives me crazy.

I guess I'll just leave it like that.

Yes, btw. It's not abrasive at all. It's actually rather smooth. 600grit sandpaper afterwards does wonders. I even shaved down the sides before I did right in front of the take down lever.
