Loaded up a few 45 colt
Finally got some new brass, so loaded up a few. Unique, 7.5 gr, with 255 gr MBC, SWC and CCI 350 magnum primers (as these are all thats available here). Shooting them in a Ruger, Lipsey, SS 45 lc/acp convertible. Hope to test them out this week. That load sound safe enough to start with, even with the magnum primers? triker

Your load will be fine. No danger there. Your significantly below max so the Mag primer shouldn't make a difference.

This will probably be a mild load. In my Ruger Blackhawk I use pretty much the same bullet, brass and primers but with a 10 grs of Unique and this is a very stout load that I worked up to. For general shooting I load up lighter loads using 8 grs of Unique.
