I try never to take more than 3, and lately it's been 1 at a time. I hate all the cleaning involved, and also when I take 3 different guns I don't shoot any of them well because of the differences in triggers, weight, recoil etc.

yeah the cleanings is the worst part. There is alot of work put into a day long shoot with target stands, filing water jugs, tables, rests, food, drinks, etc. but the reward is worth it!

Usually take only 1 gun, although I'm at the range
at least once a week. Rotate through my gun collection. Ammo is not holding me back, with over 9K on the shelf in all my calibers, thanks to my reloading hobby. I'm amazed at how many some take! |

I usually only take 1. Sometimes 2 - a .22 and another.
Of course my range is 60yds from my front door, so if I change my mind I can always go back and trade. But I think if I were driving further it would still be only 1 or 2. I like working with them 1 at a time to really get familiar with them, and work on specifics.

Hhmmm....I'm not talking lubrication here, but I know professionals who seldom clean their firearms unless they have some indication that the gun isn't functioning perfectly. Completely striping the gun apart & cleaning every little screw, nut & spring that fits to each major component of the firearm does little/nothing to improve on functionality.
However, each to their own liking. So I won't be accused of not addressing the thread....I don't go to gun ranges. If I want to shoot, I borrow a gun & go out back.--Patrice |

normally it's either a pistol day (2-3) or a rifle day (1-2) but I have taken both and one time a buddy and I had 17 guns with us
