I am a 1911 guy, but the way the OP worded it, I had to choose a Glock, and I could live with a 19, 17, or 22, hardly matters, but I chose the 17 because it's Glock's most proven model, and highest round capacity. I own all three, and actually carry the 19 more, but if I am to only have one, then I guess I will go full size.

I grab either the Sig p226 or the H&K USP .40
I can't control .45 recoil efficiently and Glocks feel like a brick in my hand. |

Constantine, geetarman, BGutzman,
I'd have picked a G30, but it wasn't on the list ![]() I really like my G30 3rd Gen. If we could CCW here, it would be my carry pistol. I prefer .45 for general defensive use (when I can't carry a rifle), and the G30 is a compact package that provides 10+1 rounds. Very cool. It's fun to shoot, and I can keep 'em in the black @ 25yds. It's compact and light. What's not to like? Safe shooting, en-frame |

Constantine is holding out against the dark pull of the 460.....

Well...now the Glock 19 and Custom Mil-Spec are gone. Forgot the G19 got this many votes.
Too bad my gen 4 was just way too problematic. I'll get another one some day. I do however have a new Glock 30sf

I voted G17, because I didn't see the need for concealment. Otherwise the G19.

OMG
What the mother of everything sacred?! lol home defense to the max! I don't know how I'd feel about that for CCW though. Wow....I really want that. I'm getting it for the Glock 21sf. Where can I buy ammo for it? Georgia Arms ammo? I need to get my Colt 70 series finished already!

Love those old 1911 Colts, Conny...you can't go wrong with a good .45...and Colt makes 'em, the Colt Gold Cup Trophy Model 1911 could be argued as the best of them all. Get a dedicated .22 lr upper for it (Marvel or Ciener), and you've got the perfect all-around companion...CCW or practice, you've got it covered...everything else is just a Colt wannabe.... LOL, Rod

None of the above! Had a Colt 1911, Sig 226, all the Glocks. The S&W M&P 45c is superior to all of them.

It is alot of options but I picked the Springfield Mil Spec. I almost went with one of the Glocks but about two weeks ago, I looked into buying one in .40 and was reminded how much I dislike the grip design.

Corbon, Wilson Combat, Buffalo Bore and Underwood all offer ammo for it! The ammo in the video wasn't even on the upper end of what this round can do.. I just got some stuff from Underwood that's suppose to hit like 1500 fps with 185 gr! That S&W M&P 45c is a nice gun, but it cant touch this!

I wouldn't trust anyone else's gun as a "grab and go" proposition. My guns, I'd pick any of them, but your guns?
It would have to be a 1911, as they are easily serviced, and it's the type of gun with which I'm most familiar. |

The 460 is in theory at least capable of shooting both standard 45 ACP and 460 Rowland ammunition. I have never fired a round of 45 ACP through mine but its on my to do list...
I'm just not keen on ammo expenditures in this current time of gun control being on the table in such a big way.

Browning Hi Power
I've been shooting these since before anyone ever heard of Glock or any of the DA Sigs, HK's, or most of the others mentioned. At this point in life, I would be a pure fool to try to re-train my hand to be as comfortable or proficient with anything else.
